I'LL NEVER GET WHAT GOD WANTS UNTIL I AM WILLING TO GIVE UP WHAT I WANT.

You must give another what they want, not what you want them to have. This is a principle by which I govern my relationships, especially my relationship with the Lord. In order to give God what He wants I must be willing to give up what I desire.
The moment Jesus invited someone to be His disciple, He made it clear he had to give up his life, which meant giving up his agenda and desires. God desires to have complete access to our hearts. He wants our lives completely surrendered to His will. He cannot fully use one who is unwilling to give up his or her life to follow Him. We must be willing to give everything to God. We must pay the price that is required in order to bring God pleasure. He is worthy of our sacrifice.
Remember, God doesn’t need you and me; we need Him! Our willingness to give up what we desire is the only proof God has that we genuinely desire to bring Him pleasure.

"I do not keep my life for myself; it is not my own. I am a living and holy sacrifice. I give my life up for God and I gain a more abundant and true life in doing so."
