I wish you a merry christmas!
Hark the herold angel sing, glory to the new born king!!!
Merry merry christmas my dearest N114. I'm finally back again. Sorry for the long break, yours truely was eating and shopping away in Bangkok.
Anyways, we had an awesome christmas service just now. It's 3.30am in the morning now, and its officially christmas! In my opinion, this year's christmas drama is one of the best we've ever had. Even my friend brandon thought that it was really good.
For most of us, we've attended quite a few christmas services during our christian walk. Every year, christmas is a time for me to really find the oppurtunity to speak up and reach out to friends. However, this year feels really different. When pastor was preaching, i felt God telling me that this christmas is a time to reach out not only to friends but also to our families.
Most of us have parents who are unsaved. My greatest wish is really for my parents to really come to christ one day. I used to invite my parents to church for christmas services in my first couple of years as a christian, but slowly, i just stopped. Today, God told me never to give up, because it is very possible that everyone in my family could be save if only i would do more. I just wanna take this chance to urge everyone of you to never stop praying for your family, especially your parents. Like my neighbour, who's a pastor once told me: " Never give up, i prayed for my parents for 20 years before they accepted christ."
Yes, keep the spirit up this christmas my friends. Give your parents a call if they are not with you. Have a good lunch with them if they are around. Take the chance, and really just share about Christ with them. I believe its really a season for us to reach out to our parents.
Keep on going guys. They will see the light one day, one day soon.
Merry Christmas!
Luv,
mavis

10th December, 2005!
A day of new beginnings for our dearest church.
Before that, a little joke to break the ice!
Jesus and Satan were in a computer programming competition. They were working away on their laptops and suddenly there was a power failure and everything went off.
BUT Jesus still won the competition. WHY?!
Because.........
Jesus SAVES!
Haha, if you didn't get that you aren't cool enough!
And so, i decided that it shall be a new beginning for this blog. Yours truely, a.k.a your 20 yr old (the last week i can say this) editor has decided to piece her very first entry!
Welcome welcome my dearest N114. Welcome and be prepared to be reading tons of silly and sometimes nonsensical stuff coming from me. Perhaps one of the reasons david made me editor was so that i could spice up you old folks' lives with abit of child like humour :)
Anyways, today was officially our first day at expo! A new destination for our church, but definately not our final destination. It was nice coming together as a cellgroup and really experiencing the first service together. It was cool to see everyone all dressed up too. Alex in his tie, david in his suit, sze in her matching earrings, tianfu in a shirt, Yvonne in a dress! felicia in black n white, kelly in her waxed hair, jing in her short hair, joanna with her yuan hands, and mavis looking as gorgeous as ever! opps. haha.
When jing, esther, michelle and me first stepped into the auditorium, sidney and the band was practicing. At that instant i was simply in awe. The songs, the huge auditorium filled with rows n rows of chairs and the spirit of god truely around. At that instant i had the vision of our church when we finally get a huge theater of our own. Right smack in the centre of town, carpeted floors, sound proof walls, comfortable chairs, state of the art sound and visual systems. And most importantly, thousands and thousands of true worshippers coming together reaching out for God, with their eyes closed and their hands lifted singing a worship song with all their heart. What a sight.
Anyways, i hope everyone is coping well with travelling from the west to the east. Most people, should be rather happy with the move. Especially sze, yen, fu and joanne who claimed that it only took them 2.70 to cab down.
Candlelight service next week! It should be a great great experience but too bad i'll be away in Thailand. So make sure my photographers take tons of pictures and post them up here!
Alrighty, thats all for today, sorry for a long entry. I really like writing! haha.
