Better than Korean drama

I saw this creative Thai advert many months ago. It condensed a "Korean-drama like" theme in this 4-part commercial. It is not only humorous yet leave a lasting impression. A successful piece of work.

Touching message in Genesis

I just came back from Sat Service. The lightings of the location where I was sitting are horribly dimmed. It does not help as the Sy Rogers is speaking at fast-flying pace. There are a lot of nuggets of wisdom in his message but I afraid that I missed most of them.

Though mentally I am unable to receive much, however I can feel a tangible atmosphere being built up as he preached. He ended his sermon with what I called a spiritual “brain teaser”.

It goes like this. In the Scripture, Hebrew names usually have a meaning. They tend to describe an attribute, an act in their lives, or something to come.

Taking this context & apply it to the genealogy from Adam to Noah; putting the meanings to each name. We have


Adam – Man

Seth – Appointed

Enosh - Mortal

Kenan - Sorrow

Mahalalel - The blessed God

Jared - Shall come down

Enoch - Teaching

Methuselah - His death shall bring

Lamech - Despairing

Noah - Comfort & Rest


Put those meanings into a complete sentence and you get: Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow, (but) the blessed God shall come down teaching. His death shall bring (the) despairing comfort and rest.


Amazing! That is the gospel of Jesus Christ!
